Hello, and welcome to third grade! My name is Joelle Garcia.  I was born in Kansas, but moved to Texas at an early age.  I grew up in Houston with my parents and two older brothers.   I attended Stephen F. Austin State University where I received a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a certification in Early Childhood Development.  I continued my education at the University of North Texas to receive a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Gifted Education. My teaching career began here in Plano ISD in 1997.   I have taught second, fourth and fifth grades, but am excited to now venture into third grade! I live in Plano with my husband and three crazy dogs.  We have two beautiful grown daughters who are Plano ISD graduates!   When not working, I  enjoy spending time with family in the country, reading, and traveling.
